L.A. county calling for lights out hour

L.A. county calling for lights out hour
Los Angeles county officials are calling for people, businesses and the government to switch off lights next month. Los Angeles county officials are attempting to follow in the footsteps of San Francisco county officials. Officials believe it will not only be a good way to conserve energy but primarily offer public education to the people. They hope this blackout effort will encourage residents and businesses to switch to incandescent light bulbs.
This is a tremendous effort being put forth by the county, my only complaint is that officials have chosen for it to be on a Saturday night at 8 p.m. The plan is undergoing voting sometime next week. However, I believe this should be a voluntary action that people should want to be involved in, so long as its not on a Saturday night. People are so concerned with helping the community, this would be a great way to show this support.
